Here is the video to the theme song for this year’s edition of Ovacom’s annual event, Ovation read carol.
It’s that beautiful season of the year when the good people at Ovation International bring love, joy and hope to Africa through the annual Ovation Red Carol event described as the largest Pan-African Carol Concert. In this brand new Ovation Red Carol theme song, seventeen (17) of Nigeria’s finest voices from the old to the new generation, declare in unison; “Near or far, no matter where you are, love is in the air, Ovation Red Carol is here!”
The song which features Yemi Alade, Ice Prince Zamani, Waje, YQ, Wizkid, Segun Obe, Chidinma, IBK, Eva, Jaywon, Malaika, Shayne, Ugly, Karate Kid, Dipp, Kefee, and Sir Shina Peters can easily pass for a Quincy Jones production for famine in Somalia or for peace in Sudan. The unique blend and fusions of style to deliver a trado-medley effect can best be described with one word, awesome! And who would have thought that OJB produced this great work while critically ill on his hospital bed? Who could have imagined that he actually gave directions to his production assistant on what to do to finish the song should he die suddenly? But such is the passion and devotion that distinguishes great men like OJB and all the artistes who have contributed their time and talent to this noble cause.
FINALLY! The must anticipated video of the year 2011 “PAKURUMO” is the perfect way to celebrate the yuletide season. In true form, EME Sensation Wizkid, together with a lot of great friends like – Funke Akindele, Pasuma, Tiwa Savage and MoCheddah to name a few, is having what looks like the best party ever on the Samklef produced song that remains the hit of the year.
Showing that the song transcends generation and will have even grandmothers dancing, the great visuals directed by none other than “Clarence Peters” will have you dancing along whether you are in Native Attire or Formal attire.

Born Segun Julius Isijola, this young rap sensation has come to cause a major stir in the rap scene of the Nigerian Music Industry. Just like most talented peers of his kind, music for VIRUS DETECTED as he is lyrically known started at the tender age of 9 years when his mates were still suckling to parental care. The year 2006 saw this young dude start music professionally sharpening his rap-attack skills to a tune that befits his ideology of rap music. And in 2010 he dropped a major wave wrecking track titled “Hay-wire” which he followed up with a master-piece cameo directed by the Legendary Dredlock AK One. This was quickly followed with other hot tracks – “Overcome” and “Super Star” These tracks and video are currently rocking clubs & airwaves. This Akure, Ondo State prodigee who has worked with talented young producers like Slim Jay (who featured on one of his tracks) and Dollar Infinity has also performed at the greatest concert in Nigeria STAR TREK when it was hosted in his base Kaduna. He displayed a phenomenal showmanship on the same Star Trek stage that had the likes of M.I (Mr Incredible), KAS (Fimile Master), Timaya (Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa), Bracket (Yori Yori Melody Kings) and JukeBox (2010 Star Quest Winners) in 2010. He also has in his kitty two brand new videos directed by SMVA 2010 Best Effects Award Winning Director MEX which are yet to be released. The Rap sensation who is currently under a management deal with SURE PEEPZ CREW believes the best is yet to be achieved in the Nigerian Music Industry as he bemoans the need to improve on the quality of music been churned out and also the lingering problem of young talents getting enough airplay and circulation of their works of art.

“Its your boi WeEeEeEezy iye!! And i’m repping EMEzi“…lol. Wiz kid’s new Jam, Wiz Party. This is a very different kinda afro-pop (if thats whats its called). Very easy to listen to, move to, and relate to; A proper Wiizy track. Its looks like whatever’s being said negatively to this young cat doesn’t seem weaken him, cos he keeps cming out with smash hit after smash hit. Good Job to the EME star child!
