Adeniji Daniel Oluwaseyi aka Lyrix rap/RnB artist is out with a single titled Make way featuring Codedtunes recording artiste, Olamide.  The song was produced by Samklef. Lyrix’s album is scheduled to drop later this year. He is currently an Undergraduate at Lagos City Polytechnic Ikeja. Lyrix could be described as a determined and focus young act, and has got really big plans for his career if the industry permits. I started my music career in 2000 on the streets of Lagos and he plans to take it to the next level, he said.

This is an important information for all you underground artistes.Lanre ‘eLDee’ Dabiri, C.E.O of Trybe Records  recently announced an initiative created by Trybe Records called “Top Talent“. It is a platform for unsigned Nigerian artists of all genres that allows for them to showcase their talent and possibly get a record deal. The contest requires unsigned talent to enter an mp3 song for free by sending an email with their song attached. eLDee and his team of A&Rs will then listen to all entries and select the top 10. The top 10 entries will be posted on a website for free online voting by the general public. The Top Talent based on online votes will automatically get featured on eLDee’s upcoming “Is it your money Vol.2″ album including a possible music recording deal offer from Trybe Records.

Bars and punchlines from  a wide range  is what rap is all  about, and this dude does a great job at it. Versatile is the word. Eugene Emuze a.k.a Jin Carter, 19, was born in Ikeja, Lagos. Growing up, he spent a brief part of his childhood in England where he was exposed to rap music for the first time. Ever since, he’s listened to virtually everything he came across irrespective of genre creating an unusual appetite for music. Apart from rap, he also has interest in rock, soul, jazz, fuji, afrobeat, pop, dancehall, r’n'b, juju, hiplife,  and a bunch of other kinds of music. He says “you’ll find the weirdest songs on my laptop”. Currently studying in the United States, he began rapping few years back, not since he was 5 or 6 years old like most artistes would claim.
