“If I could turn back the hands of time, you my love, would be resting on my thighs” I said aloud.
***************
Four years of courtship… Six years of friendship… I felt beyond shattered. Marcus… Marcus… How did this even happen to us?
A few weeks back, me and my girls had gone to pick my wedding dress.
“You both are just perfect!” Gloria said excited
“I knew you both would finally be together! It was just a matter of time” Ada added.
I had never been happier my whole life but now… No.. But then… Like that week. Sigh.
My mum had even called me to the house to advise me about marriage and all the hullabaloos… It was Marcus… Marcus or no one else.
But what has become of me today? A walking shadow! Not the shadow you see when I’m happy… The type you see when I’m a faded version of my real self…
Marcus…
The tears and screams I’ve witnessed in the past one week is enough to pull down the world. I realize I’m even stronger than I thought I was.
Yet I stand… Amidst all odds. Everyone is staring… I’ve been lost in my own trance, 1.. 2.. 3 minutes? It was time. I let the dust fall on his coffin at last… More tears… More yells… More screams.
Adieu my love…

- Who is Funfere Koroye? (background, educational history, transition between growing up and becoming a designer)
I am man of many faces, so i have been told. Grew up in Nigeria, still live there and so do my parents. I am the first child with three sisters behind me. I was surrounded by a very straight forward way of life; a lot of church, mindless politics and boarding school. To say the least, i was bored with it and fascinated by the thing people didn’t notice. Being a designer wasn’t so clear from the start, it took up to my senior year to take on that path. My interest in Mechanical engineering and Fine art were definitely influencers in the decision for my current major.

“Err. . . I don’t think it is a good idea,” I told him. A heavy silence greeted me on the other end of my phone. I found the situation very awkward. “Have you told your parents?” I asked. “No,” he replied. I had just completed an interview with eighteen year old Celebrity Blogger Shei Funmi, a Nigerian who at the time we were speaking was based in Houston, Texas. My interview was about his blog and the many Hollywood celebrities he frankly ticks off with his Perez Hilton style blogging. I was intrigued that he was Nigerian/African, had not spent much time in the USA, barely a year, yet he was able to gather the attention of many celebrities and even have persons like Lady Gaga following him on Twitter, among many….”
