GbeduThrowback: Tony Tetuila – My Car

Gbedu-Throw back is an avenue we are going to be using to bring back great hits that came out of Africa, most especially Nigeria.(Songs about 5yrs and older.) We are appreciating the rare ‘n’ retro talents that started what I like to call “Naija new Skool Music” .If you were an avid listener of Nigerian music back then, Gbedu-Throwback will definitely bring back memories. So we will be starting with this…

He was popularly refered to as the golden son of Africa. Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye, aka Tony Tetuila was a member of the defunct afro-hiphop group THE REMEDIES, which also consisted of Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana. Tony Tetuila featured in a couple of songs with the group, but at the time the group officially released their album, he had started a solo career. The hit Single My Car was a track off his album My Car. The jam created a major buzz in the naija  music scene, and Africa as a whole.

We gathered from reliable source that he is  presently working on a album.

Nuff said, enjoy the video!
